Training Project
This project was an exercise in creating an UI Design and Prototype for a mobile website. The brief was simple and clear, design an app for an Architecture Firm based in Atlanta (USA). The goal was to make a mood board, a low fidelity wireframe, a high fidelity design, and make it a working prototype in a timebox of 3 hours.
This design challenge was an mobile website for an Architectural Firm based in Atlanta. The design process can be viewed in the full document. It started with a mood board, thinking about what a good direction for an architecture firm would be. When I think of Atlanta, I think of a cool and rough city, so I was inspired by the black and white pictures of impressive buildings. Next to that the blueprints, lines, and drawings that are used in architecture. Also, I liked the connection to building something, so I added the yellow of a builders hat to the colour palette. Based on that inspiration, I started with making a quick logo. Afterwards, I designed a low fidelity wireframe. I thought about the call to action, that in my opinion would be to contact the firm to discuss any business a (potential) client has. After finishing the lofi frame, I continued to the high fidelity design. Using the inspiration of lines for buttons the design came together. View the full prototype below.
